Lindsey Martin, Assistant Principal

Ms. Martin serves as an assistant principal at Highland Elementary. She began her college education at the University of Southern Mississippi where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. She then obtained a Master of Education at Mississippi College. While at Mississippi College, she was recognized as the Educational Leadership Graduate Student of the Year and received the MS Association of Colleges of Teacher Education Award. 

Ms. Martin is a veteran educator who has previously taught in Rankin County. She recently served as an interventionist at Richland Upper Elementary. Before her time at Richland, she served as a 5th grade and 3rd grade teacher at Oakdale Elementary. Ms. Martin was named Teacher of the Year for Oakdale Elementary in 2021.  Ms. Martin has served as a member of the MDE Teacher Advisory Council for 4 years. 

Ms. Martin currently resides in Madison County. In her free time, Ms. Martin serves in her church with youth groups, missions, and is a member of her church choir. 

Ms. Martin is thrilled to serve the Titan Zone and to support the children and families in the community.
